Google recently released a version of their search engine that is customizable to fit your business or sites needs.
Google stated on their site http://www.google.com/coop/cse/ that…
“Have a website or collection of sites you’d like to search over? With Custom Search Engine, you can harness the power of Google to create a search engine tailored to your needs.”
You can search more than one of your sites, display the search box & results on your won site, along with customizing some of the look and feel to match your current site.
After doing some further digging it looks like it only takes a couple of steps to set up on Google’s end, with the option of upgrading from the free Standard Edition to the Business Edition beginning at $100′s per year.
As expected, you have a Terms of Service agreement and a few other options you’ll have to check through, but for the most part it looks like another great quality product put out there for the world to enjoy, all for free (if you’re not using the business edition that is).
